We were requested to design a “bed-side lamp for children” in a project by a fashion magazine. We thought of a lamp that is made of 10cm-tall acrylic cube and generates light of various soft colors by putting photos and cards into it. We thought of such a story that a little child puts a photo of her favorite person or a card on which she writes down what she wants to see in her dream into the lamp before she goes to bed. The design in our minds is not design controlled by functions but design that composes beautiful principles. We can make a beautiful composition functional only because our idea starts from zero.
