“PIE” is a toy that we proposed for a cultural institute that is run with the concept of ”exchange.” The toy provides an educational system for children to make a robot. Finished products of the basic framework and power source are provided, and children are supposed to work together to make a face and arms with blocks and attach them to the framework. Additionally, we made various proposals. For instance, we thought of simulating the robot’s movement on a computer application and transmit the program to the actual robot. However, it turned out that what they wanted was rather a “pierrot (clown)” than a “system.” Of course, there has been no exchange with them since.
