We were in charge of designing the exhibition space for a photo exhibition of the Rolling Stones from 1965 to 1967. We thought “Discrete Metric Space” would be suitable for its concept, bearing in mind the spatial composition representing the counter-culture in the 60s and the name of the band. It means distance space of two variable disambiguation, that is, discrete distance space. Photos were arranged casually high and low at around 120cm above the floor. A wall to shut out light was set up at the window, and this wall, half the size of the window, was placed two thirds of its width to the right. Printed on the floor are enlarged song lyrics, and they were shifted by two thirds of its width to the left from the above-mentioned wall. The space composition that was neither homogenized nor centralized embodied classic rock along with the photos in the background.
